About This Webinar
A common concern raised in SoS is that supervisors may spend too much time in the ‘Lecture Theatre’ telling supervisees what to do, at the cost of helping them to develop reflective practice skills.
We take a developmental and ‘cultural’ lens to this dilemma and look at challenges for the supervisor AND challenges for the supervisee which may be informing this dynamic. We explore a framework for transitioning from the teaching space to the reflective space informed by Motivational Interviewing and share a selection of open question micro-skills to get your supervision heading in a more reflective, deeper learning direction.
The webinar includes a live demonstration of the conversational flow of the micro-skills taught in the webinar. Content will reference Daf Hewson’s Supervision Spaces but previous training in this model is not essential.
Registrants will receive the slides, recording, and a graphic to support integration of the webinar content into their supervision practice.
Registration $71.50 incl GST

Introduction
The effective facilitation of professional supervision is nuanced, relational, and ever-evolving. Whether you’re feeling confident, stretched, or somewhere in between, this 4-part webinar series is designed to support you to deepen and expand your supervision practice as a supervisor.
Join highly experienced trainers and supervisors Tara Crow (DSRAI, Practice Pavestones) and Fiona Sutherland (The Mindful Dietitian) for a practical and reflective series that explores the art and skill of supervision. We move beyond the basics of facilitation to explore some of the more challenging issues we navigate with supervisees in the real world of practice.
